Dr Krishna Srinath, well known social scientist,Retd Director, ICAR- Central Institute of Women in Agriculture and All India Coordinated Research Project on Home Science.
M. Sc. 1975 batch Home Science Extension Education,
Agricultural Research Service 1978 , served Indian Council of Agricultural Research for 36 years in different agricultural research Institutes in India including about 20 years at CMFI and CIFT Cochin. Worked as ICAR Emeritus Scientist at Tamil Nadu Veterinary & Animal Sciences University.
Organising Secretary for the first Global Conference on Women in Agriculture, Catalyst for Gender in Agricultural Partnership (GAP) , a global initiative. Won awards including national, Kerala State, ICAR and International for women empowerment through extension education and science and technology, published more than 100 research papers prominently on gender mainstreaming in different sectors of agriculture noted among them was the Chellanam model for women empowerment..
