COLLEGE GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

Grievance Redressal Cell is constituted in Govt. College for Women as per the UGC guidelines under clause (g) of sub-section (1) of Section 26 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956), and in supersession of the University Grants Commission (Grievance Redressal) Regulations, 2012. The cell facilitates the submission and redressal of genuine complaints and grievances of students with regard to any kind of academic, administrative and disciplinary issues faced by students. Any matters under the purview of the internal Grievance Redressal Cell are properly taken care in a judicious and impartial manner. Any dissatisfaction expressed and discrimination faced by the students are properly addressed through this mechanism. Any unfair or unjust act from any of the stakeholders raised as a grievance by a student / parent / even a staff member is seriously addressed.

Objectives of the Redressal Cell  

  1. To address various issues faced by the stakeholders and to solve those in a fair and impartial manner.
  2. To develop a responsible and compassionate attitude among the students and staff.
  3. To resolve all the grievances put forward in a confidential manner.
  4. To ensure healthy interpersonal relations among the students and teachers.
  5. To make sure that any kind of amenities and basic requirements are not denied to the stakeholders.
  6. To avoid any kind of discrimination and victimization.
  7. To ensure strict observance of conduct and discipline among the whole academic community in the campus.

Functioning of the Grievance Redressal Mechanism

  1. The grievant can submit grievance in writing by mail to grievances@gcwtvm.ac.in and/or to the Principal principal@gcwtvm.ac.in. Student may also fill the particulars and grievances (in not more than 100 words) by clicking on the student grievances link above. The students can also put their grievances in the suggestions / complaint box placed in the college office, PTA office and in science block.
  2. In case of urgent issues, students may call to the number 9446475403  for raising their grievances.
  3. The grievance mails / complaint boxes are regularly checked and the issues, if any, are attended and resolved by the cell normally within a maximum period of ten days.
  1. The redressal cell convene meetings whenever it is required.
  2. All the complaints/grievances are resolved only after hearing the complainants and respondents.
  3. Strict confidentiality of the grievant / victim is ensured throughout the redressal process and thereafter.
  4. High degree offences with legal implications reported to the cell are put forward to the respective higher authorities in time for further action. The grievance cell functions as a supporting body for facilitating any kind of further investigation / actions in such matters.
